Illesse, West Midlands Employers Apprentice

'I would definitely recommend an apprenticeship to young people as the knowledge and experience you gain is unparalled. It's opened doors to places I thought would take me years to reach.'

Olivia, Staffordshire County Council Apprentice

'An apprenticeship is a great way to start a career if you're not sure about what job you want to do.'

Alex, Staffordshire County Council Apprentice

'Working in the Public Sector as an Apprentice helps you give back to the community.'

Dwayne, Dudley Council Apprentice

'An Apprenticeship helps you learn and gain experience at the same time. You can get so much real world experience.'

“I would encourage any young person to look at apprenticeships – there’s loads out there! Apprenticeships provide a stepping stone between education and employment and provide valuable insight into the next stage of working life.”

Tammy Sellars | OD & HR Team Administrator |  Worcester City Council

I think apprentice schemes are very helpful as you get to work, learn and earn which most people my age want to. I was so relieved when I was offered the position as it is so hard to find a job when you have no experience. Overall I think apprenticeships (especially in this line of work) are really helpful to young people.

Sean Warren | Solihull Council

“I am learning a great amount and gained a lot of experience already during my time here. I feel that doing a qualification while getting work experience is a really good way to learn and was personally a better route for me than university.”

Lauren Bradley | CIPP Payroll Apprentice| Dudley Council
